buying a tiller
I'm getting ready to start a garden and I need to buy a tiller. I need one that is big enough to tear into hard ground that has not been tilled. I want good quality but not over priced.
Any suggestions?! |

I want good quality but not over priced. When I purchased my garden tiller, I didn't have enough money for an expensive one. I bought a $299 special at Home Depot. I can't remember the brand, but it was a front-tine tiller. It tilled up my back-yard garden just fine. I had to go over it several times, but it worked fine. I also have a country property that has a lot of roots and rocks. For that one, I either borrow my buddy's rear-tine or use a tractor when I'm breaking new ground. What kind of soil are you working with? |
