Buy or rent one?
First let me explain I am asolutely new to gardening. I never had a house with a garden before always lived in a flat.

So I do not want to spend a big amount of money in my first gardening experiences.

I like to start with a place for a few herbals.

Is it possible to rent a mini -tiller?
At this point I do not want to buy one.

Most rental places will have garden tillers for rent by the hour or by the day.

You could also look to see if someone in your area would do it for you at an hourly rate.

It takes a little bit of time to get the hang of tilling. If you're completely new, it might be best to let someone do it for you to start with.

Also, make sure that you don't have any utility lines around. With our first garden, we tilled right through a shallowly buried phone line.
